ready to be transformed?
Circle Mirror Transformation was a student-produced play in the School of Theater & Dance (STAD), sponsored by The Stratford Players.
Background

The play ran from March 2nd to March 6th, 2024. Although the story portrayed a world of realism, the director focused on a more whimsical, thoughtful theme that includes my favorite insect of all time - a butterfly.
Task

Develop a unique campaign that represents the play Circle Mirror Transformation in an unexpected way. Create promotional materials including: poster, playbill, social media, and merchandise.

Audience
Student, faculty and staff, and community theatergoers at JMU and in the Harrisonburg community.

Dream team

Myself, publicist
Julia Finkler, assistant publicist
Paige Mudd, mentor
Final advertisements

I created a unique poster design that boldly incorporated the mirror design from the play's title. I spread this design scheme to the playbill, social media posts, and merchandise.

As many of us know, butterflies are a symbol of transformation. So, what better play to showcase such a beautiful creature?
